The Director, Project Development has experience and familiarity with development strategy, site evaluation, land negotiations, interconnection processes, environmental studies and permitting and familiarity with solar cost, generation and financial modeling. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, attention to detail, judgment, and a demonstrated ability to manage a team and make sound business decisions.
In this role, you’ll:
The Director, Project Development is responsible for managing the project development team and
driving the company’s development strategy. The Director, Project Development will establish and manage development prioritization and keep a development schedule and budget. The Director, Project Development will be responsible for allocating internal and external resources as necessary to meet schedules.
During the development phase of a project, the Director, Project Development will be expected to represent the company’s interests in front of authorities having jurisdiction such as city or county councils, zoning or planning commissions, state-level permitting boards and other project stakeholders. During the financing phase of a project, the Director, Project Development will ensure the timely creation of a complete data room. During the construction phase of a project, the Director, Project Development will liaise with the company’s project managers on all development matters.
The Director, Project Development will work closely with the Business Development, Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Legal and Finance teams to ensure timely and smooth project execution.

The Land Manager works under the general supervision of the Director, Project Development and will lead the Land Team which is responsible for securing land positions across the United States. The Land Manager will also be responsible for leading all real estate due diligence and title review on both juwi-developed projects and third-party acquisition opportunities across the United States. The Land Manager is responsible for managing all land acquisition staff and resources and participating in advanced land acquisition negotiations and contract drafting for various types of land contracts. The Project Planner will establish and manage the permitting schedule and budget. During the development phase of a project, the Project Planner will represent the company’s interests in front of authorities having jurisdiction such as city councils, zoning commissions, and planning commissions. The Project Planner will manage consultants that provide subject matter expertise. In connection with the project financing process, the Project Planner will prepare permitting summaries and will address questions and issues raised by juwi’s customers on these matters. During the construction phase of a project, the Project Planner will apply for and obtain all construction permits and will ensure compliance with all project permits.
